Stereo Analyst® for ArcGIS
The First Stereo Feature Collection
Tool
Built on a GIS
Stereo Analyst®
for ArcGIS allows users to collect, update, interpret and visualize 3D
geographic information with stereo imagery. This software is designed
to create and maintain the quality of your GIS data and information for
storage in a geospatial database and used for analysis, digital mapping
and 3D visualization.
Using Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS, GIS professionals can directly maintain
the contents of a Geodatabase with stereo imagery as a reference source
of geographic information. Image layers and feature datasets can be directly
accessed from a database for GIS data creation and revision.
Traditional techniques of creating and maintaining a GIS normally involve
digitizing existing sources of geographic information such as topographic
maps, census maps, and survey plans. These sources of geographic information
are normally out of date and do not reflect geographic reality. Through
the process of digitizing and merging multi-source data, inaccuracies
are often introduced into the GIS. As a result, GIS analyses based on
this data can contain many errors reducing the overall reliability of
the GIS solution. In contrast, Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS uses a direct
approach to collecting accurate geographic information and eliminating
the need to digitize from a secondary data source.
With Stereo Analyst, collecting your GIS data in 3D has never been easier.
Stereo Analyst’s sophisticated 3D data collection techniques enable
you to:
-
Accurately collect both 2D and 3D GIS data from a variety of image
sources, without having to create a digital terrain model
-
Minimize
the time and cost associated with preparing, collecting, and editing
GIS data
-
Transform
existing 2D GIS vectors into 3D GIS data
-
Automatically
attribute spatial information to your GIS
-
Immediately
use 3D Shapefiles in ERDAS IMAGINE and ESRI products
-
Verify
the accuracy of GIS vector layers and digital stereo models
